Introduction

This Subscription Pricing, Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the subscription fees, payment arrangements, installment options, refund eligibility, and cancellation procedures applicable to services provided by Interfine Global Agency Limited (“Interfine Music”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By registering for, paying for, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have been given access to this Policy and agree to the applicable terms, subject to any rights or requirements under applicable law.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Anti-Fraud Policy.

1. What You Are Paying For

Interfine Music provides music distribution services that enable artists and labels to submit music for distribution to digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, and other supported platforms.

Subscription and applicable signup fees cover access to our services for the relevant subscription period, subject to the applicable plan and terms.

Our subscription fees do not guarantee acceptance of a release by any third-party platform, a specific release date, a particular level of streaming activity, or any amount of royalties or streaming income.

2. Subscription Categories and Pricing

Interfine Music offers the following annual subscription plans.

2.1 Artist Subscription

The annual artist subscription fee is USD 12 per year.

Artists may choose one of the following payment options:

A. Annual payment

Artists may pay the full annual subscription fee of USD 12 at registration or renewal.

B. Installment payment

Artists may pay toward the annual subscription fee in installments of at least USD 2 per month.

The installment option is a payment arrangement for the annual subscription. It is not a separate monthly subscription, and it does not change the annual subscription fee of USD 12.

Artists who choose this option remain responsible for paying the full annual subscription fee. Each payment will be credited toward the amount due.

Any unpaid portion of the annual subscription fee remains outstanding and will be carried forward in accordance with Section 3 of this Policy.

2.2 Music Label Subscription

The annual music label subscription fee is USD 24 per year.

Labels may choose one of the following payment options:

A. Annual payment

Labels may pay the full annual subscription fee of USD 24 at registration or renewal.

B. Split-payment option

Labels may pay USD 12 at initial registration and settle the remaining USD 12 within six months of the registration date.

The split-payment option is a deferred payment arrangement for the annual subscription. It is not a separate six-month subscription.

The outstanding balance remains payable until it is settled, even if the six-month payment deadline has passed.

3. Installment Payments and Carry-Forward of Outstanding Balances

3.1 Artist Installment Obligations

Artists who choose the installment option are expected to make payments of at least USD 2 per month toward their annual subscription fee.

An installment that is not paid by the applicable due date will remain outstanding and be carried forward to the following month.

The unpaid amount will be added to any other outstanding subscription balance and will remain payable until settled.

The carry-forward arrangement does not waive, cancel, or forgive the outstanding amount.

3.2 Label Payment Obligations

Labels that select the split-payment option must pay the initial USD 12 at registration and settle the remaining USD 12 within six months of the registration date.

If the outstanding amount is not settled within this period, the balance will remain payable. Interfine Music may issue payment reminders and take the measures described in Section 4.

3.3 Accumulation of Outstanding Balances

Where an artist or label misses multiple payments, the unpaid amounts will accumulate and be recorded against the relevant subscription account.

Payments received will be credited to the subscriber’s outstanding balance. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payments will be applied to the oldest outstanding amount first.

Interfine Music may notify subscribers of their outstanding balances and the amounts required to bring their accounts up to date.

3.4 Outstanding Balances Upon Cancellation

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically cancel outstanding installments or other subscription fees that became payable under the applicable agreement.

Any outstanding amount will remain payable, subject to the applicable subscription terms and law.

3.5 Payment Disputes and Errors

Subscribers who believe that a payment has not been credited or that their outstanding balance is incorrect should contact support@interfinemusic.com with the relevant transaction details.

Interfine Music will review the matter and make reasonable efforts to correct verified payment errors.

4. Payment Reminders, Non-Payment and Suspension

Interfine Music may send payment reminders and notifications concerning overdue installments, outstanding balances, and approaching payment deadlines.

Subscribers are responsible for keeping their account and contact information accurate.

Where an artist or label fails to meet its payment obligations, Interfine Music may take proportionate action, which may include:

  • Issuing reminders requesting settlement of the outstanding amount.
  • Requesting that the subscriber bring the account up to date.
  • Temporarily suspending eligible subscription benefits after appropriate notice.
  • Restricting access to subscription-dependent features or services.
  • Declining to renew or reactivating a subscription only after the applicable outstanding obligations have been addressed, where permitted by the subscription agreement and law.

Where suspension or termination is necessary, Interfine Music will act in accordance with the applicable Terms of Use, contractual requirements, and law.

Suspension or termination does not automatically extinguish outstanding amounts already payable.

5. General Refund Principle

Because our services may involve account activation, administrative setup, and submission of music to third-party digital platforms, subscription and signup fees are generally non-refundable once the relevant service has been delivered and distribution has begun, subject to the exceptions in this Policy and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We assess refund requests fairly and in good faith, taking into account the circumstances of the request, the services delivered, and applicable law.

6. When You May Be Eligible for a Refund

You may request a refund in the following circumstances:

6.1 Duplicate Payment

You were charged more than once for the same subscription or service because of a technical or payment-processing error.

6.2 Failed Activation

You paid for a subscription, but your account was not activated, and Interfine Music is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable period.

6.3 Service Not Delivered

Your music was never submitted to any digital platform because of a fault attributable to Interfine Music, rather than content issues, platform rejection, incomplete information, or failure to meet our submission requirements.

6.4 Unauthorised Payment

A payment was made using your account or payment method without your authorisation. Such requests are subject to verification and any applicable payment-provider procedures.

6.5 Other Legally Required Refunds

A refund may also be considered where required by applicable law or where Interfine Music determines that a refund is appropriate in the circumstances.

Approval of a refund request is not automatic and will depend on verification of the relevant facts.

7. When Refunds Are Generally Not Available

Subject to applicable law and the exceptions expressly provided in this Policy, refunds will not normally be granted in the following circumstances:

  • Your music has already been distributed or made available on one or more digital platforms.
  • You change your mind after your account has been activated and the relevant service has been delivered.
  • A release is rejected, withheld, or taken down by a platform because of copyright issues, incorrect metadata, incomplete information, content violations, or a breach of our Terms of Use or Anti-Fraud Policy.
  • Your account is suspended or terminated because of verified fraudulent activity or a violation of our applicable terms.
  • Your request relates to royalties, streaming income, or earnings rather than the subscription fee paid to Interfine Music.
  • You cancel your subscription but have already received the relevant service for the applicable subscription period.

Nothing in this section excludes a refund or other remedy required by applicable law.

8. Refunds for Installment Payments

8.1 Artist Installments

Where an artist pays the annual subscription fee through installments, amounts already paid are generally non-refundable once the account is active and the relevant service has been delivered or music has been submitted for distribution, subject to Section 6 and applicable law.

The installment arrangement does not create a separate monthly subscription and does not automatically entitle the artist to a refund of payments made for an unused portion of the annual subscription.

Any outstanding amount remains payable in accordance with the selected payment arrangement and applicable terms.

8.2 Label Split Payments

Where a label pays USD 12 at registration and agrees to settle the remaining USD 12 within six months, the initial payment forms part of the annual subscription fee.

The outstanding balance remains payable in accordance with the agreed payment arrangement, including where the six-month deadline has passed.

Cancellation does not automatically eliminate the outstanding balance. Refund eligibility for amounts already paid will be assessed under Sections 5, 6, and 7.

9. Cancelling Your Subscription

Artists and labels may request cancellation of their subscriptions at any time.

9.1 How to Cancel

To request cancellation, you must either:

  • Email support@interfinemusic.com from the email address associated with your account; or
  • Submit a cancellation request through your account, where that functionality is available.

Your request should include sufficient information to identify your account and subscription.

Interfine Music may contact you to verify the request or clarify the intended cancellation date.

9.2 Effect of Cancellation

Cancellation stops future subscription renewals in accordance with the applicable subscription terms.

Unless your account is terminated earlier for a valid reason under our Terms of Use or applicable law, access to the service will generally continue until the end of the current paid subscription period.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.

Any outstanding installments or other amounts already payable remain subject to the applicable subscription agreement and this Policy.

9.3 Music Takedown Before Cancellation

Before cancelling, you should review your music catalogue and submit any necessary takedown requests through the takedown function or other process described in our Terms of Use.

Cancelling a subscription does not necessarily remove music already delivered to third-party digital platforms.

The timing of takedowns depends on the relevant platform’s processing procedures. Interfine Music cannot guarantee immediate removal from every platform.

9.4 Cancellation Following Suspension or Termination

Where an account is suspended or terminated because of a breach of our Terms of Use, Anti-Fraud Policy, or other applicable requirements, the account’s access and any outstanding payment obligations will be handled in accordance with the relevant terms and applicable law.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@interfinemusic.com within 14 days of the relevant payment.

Your request should include:

  • The email address associated with your account.
  • The date and amount of the payment.
  • The reason for requesting a refund.
  • Any supporting information, such as a transaction reference, receipt, or duplicate payment confirmation.

Requests received after this period may still be considered where required by law or where Interfine Music determines that an exception is appropriate.

10.1 Review Period

We aim to review and respond to refund requests within 7 to 14 business days of receiving the necessary information.

If additional information is required, the review may take longer, and we will communicate with you as reasonably necessary.

10.2 Refund Method

Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method via PesaPal, where possible.

Where appropriate and agreed, refunds may be made through mobile money or bank transfer.

Actual processing times depend on the payment provider and the receiving financial institution.

11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a concern about a payment, please contact support@interfinemusic.com first so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.

Where a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated, Interfine Music may review the transaction and temporarily restrict relevant account functions where reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law.

We will consider the circumstances of the dispute before taking further action.

Nothing in this Policy prevents you from exercising any rights available to you through your payment provider or under applicable law.
